Here are five ways to cope with stress:

1. Exercise: Exercise is an effective way to cope with stress, it helps to release endorphins, natural chemicals in the body, which reduce stress hormone levels. It also improves blood flow and boosts energy levels. Engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise three to four times per week.

2. Deep Breathing: Deep breathing exercises can help to calm the mind, release tension, and reduce stress. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, hold your breath for a few seconds, and exhale slowly through your mouth.

3. Practice Mindfulness: Mindfulness and meditation techniques, such as yoga, Tai Chi or meditation, help to calm the mind and promote relaxation. Focus your attention on your breath and observe your thoughts without judgment.

4. Prioritise and Plan: Overwhelming workloads can add to stress, prioritise tasks and create a plan to accomplish tasks in a timely and organised fashion. Break tasks into smaller pieces and work on tasks systematically to avoid getting overwhelmed.

5. Connect with People: Having someone to talk to during stressful times can make a big difference. Reach out to friends or family members or join a support group to connect with others who can offer help, support, and understanding.

In conclusion, coping with stress involves taking care of both the body and mind. Engaging in regular exercise, deep breathing and mindfulness techniques, prioritising and planning tasks and connecting with people can help to reduce stress levels and promote a positive outlook on life.
